Tennessee’s week six matchup against LSU will kick off at noon ET with ESPN broadcasting the game.

While the game kicks off at noon ET, it will be an 11 a.m. local time kick off. That makes for a less intimidating environment for the eighth-ranked Volunteers to walk into.

Tennessee last faced LSU in a 2017 loss at Neyland Stadium. The Vols last trip to Baton Rouge and Tiger Stadium was the infamous 13-men on the field game in 2010.

LSU currently holds a five-game winning streak over Tennessee in the series, marking back to the Vols’ dramatic come from behind victory at Tiger Stadium in 2005.

LSU is in a new position in 2022 with Brian Kelly in his first season as the Tigers’ head coach. The Tigers are 3-1 and rank right outside the top 25 12 days from kick off.

Kelly’s first LSU team started the season with a loss to Florida State and has since won three straight including a home victory over Mississippi State,

While Tennessee can rest up and prepare for LSU with an early October bye week, the Tigers travel to Auburn to face a floundering team.

Other top SEC games in the week six slate include Alabama-Texas A&M at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, Auburn-Georgia at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS and Kentucky-South Carolina at 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.

The two CBS games were selected ahead of Tennessee-LSU while Kentucky versus South Carolina and the rest of the SEC slate was selected after.
