Ray ranks as the No. 335 player and No. 46 receiver in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings.
Tennessee currently has three receivers committed in its 2023 recruiting class including four-star Cameron Seldon, four-star Nathan Leacock and three-star Nate Spillman. Spillman was one of the first members of the Vols’ 2023 recruiting class while Seldon and Leacock committed to Josh Heupel and his staff over the summer.
Ray visited Tennessee back in June, camping with the Vols.

Ray’s last two visits have been to West Virginia coming earlier this season and late in the summer. Both crystal ball predictions on 247sports predict Ray to commit to the Mountaineers.
The Vols already have 21 prospects committed in the 2023 cycle but with the 25 scholarship per class limit no longer applying, Tennessee can sign over 25 prospects this year.
Tennessee’s recruiting class ranks 12th nationally and fifth in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
