Tennessee football is hosting a massive recruiting weekend as the 2022 Vols prepare to face off with Florida. Rick Barnes and his staff are looking to capitalize on the energy around campus as the basketball program hosts an abundance of recruits.

According to 247sports’ Travis Branham, Tennessee is hosting 10 different recruits this weekend in the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes.

Tennessee is hosting three four-star recruits in the 2024 recruiting class this weekend led by North Carolina shooting guard Rakease Passmore.

Passmore ranks as the No. 49 player and No. 10 shooting guard in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. Tennessee has yet to offer the 6-foot-5 Asheville, North Carolina native.

Virginia native Del Jones ranks as the No. 83 player and No. 14 point guard in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The top player in the state of Virginia currently holds five offers but Tennessee has yet to offer.

The last four-star visiting Knoxville this weekend is Huntsville native Chase McCarty. McCarty is unranked in the 247sports composite rankings but ranks as the No. 63 player in the 247sports own rankings.

McCarty is a 6-foot-5 small forward with five offers including the home state Crimson Tide. Tennessee has yet to offer.

Harriman, Tennessee native Jordan McCullum will make the quick trip to Knoxville for the top 20 showdown. The 6-foot-7 power forward ranks at the No. 135 player in the 2024 recruiting class and currently holds three SEC offers. Tennessee has yet to pull the trigger on a scholarship offer.

Johnson is an unranked guard who plays on the same high school program as Del Jones.

Tennessee isn’t hosting any 2023 recruits on campus this weekend in large part due to the nature of the Vols’ 2023 class. The Vols already have three commits including top 50 recruits Freddie Dilione and JP Estrella. High three-star Cade Phillips rounds out Tennessee’s recruiting class.

The three current commits give Tennessee the No. 8 recruiting class according to 247sports.
