Georgia is 4-4 against the spread this season and 3-2 against the spread in SEC games. The over has hit two times in Georgia games this season while the under has hit six times.

Both the Vols and Bulldogs are entering the matchup coming off dominant performances. Georgia easily handled rival Florida while Tennessee obliterated No. 19 Kentucky, 44-6.

Tennessee’s road trip to Georgia has “Game of the Century” vibes. The Bulldogs are No. 1 in this week’s AP Poll while Tennessee is tied with Ohio State at the No. 2 spot.

With the calendar soon turning to November, the AP Poll’s importance is dwindling. The initial College Football Playoff ranking comes out Tuesday night and Tennessee should be the nation’s No. 1 team. The highly anticipated matchup in Athens should be a meeting between the No. 1 and No. 2 team in the country.

More important than the rankings, whoever wins the matchup will all but clinch the SEC east championship and a birth in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta.

While there’s plenty of hype around the matchup, oddsmakers don’t have much faith in Josh Heupel and the Vols to go on the road and win.

As nearly double digit underdogs, a Tennessee win over Georgia would be viewed as a true upset. The Vols also opened as nine-point underdogs against Alabama.

Kick off from Sanford Stadium in Athens is at 3:30 p.m. ET. Brad Nesler, Gary Danielson and Jenny Dell are on the call for CBS.
